PURPOSE:To reliably discriminate the occurrence of cavitation by frequency- analyzing level change in each frequency band of signals of vibration, noise and pressure due to cavitation, and quantitatively evaluating the occurrence of cavitation. CONSTITUTION:A detection signal from a sensor 1 portion provided at a cavitation generating portion is passed through filters 3a-3d to be separated into independent frequency band components, which are passed through a level converter 4 and a disturbance removing circuit 5 to be input to a cavitation discriminating and display portion 6. Accordingly, level change in each frequency band is frequency-analyzed to quantitatively evaluate the existence/absence of cavitation and the intensity thereof.
