PURPOSE:To restrict sufficiently a lateral vibration of a wire electrode owing to the discharge reaction during the processing, and improve the processing accuracy, by furnishing an electromagnetic exciting unit, an oscillator, a pulley, a brake roller, and the like, and converting a tension imposed to the wire electrode periodically. CONSTITUTION:When a vibration of an electromagnetic exciting unit 1 is delivered to an oscillator 2, a pulley 3 is vibrated up and down. Since the wire passes through the pulley 3 after a specific tension is given to the wire by a brake roller 21, a new vibrating tension is given to the wire, and the tension of the wire varies vibrantly as a whole centering around the tension given by the brake roller 21. Therefore, in the wire oscillating system between an upper and a lower dices 26 and 26, the tension as the parameter of the system is converted to control the lateral vibration sufficiently. Consequently, the processing accuracy such as the accuracy of straightness can be improved.
