PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive toner superior in spectral sensitivity, sharply sensitive to blue light and to form a cyan color image freed of color mackling in a short time by using a toner having photosensitivity in the visible light region of specified wavelengths and coloring it to cyan color. CONSTITUTION:The present toner has photosensitivity to the visible light region of <=500nm wavelengths, and is colored to cyan color, preferably, such as hues belonging to the hue designation range of 5.0BG-8.0PB of the Munsell System. It is preferable for the toner to have sharp sensitivity to <=500nm wavelengths as sensitivity characteristics, and the sensitivity max. point at <=470nm wavelengths, and occupy >=80% of the total sensitivity in the total visible region at <=480nm wavelengths. Since such a toner is not sensitive to red and green lights, and remarkably lowered in electrostatic charge by irradiation of blue light, resulting in good sensitivity to it. The use of this toner as a cyan color toner permits a color image freed of color mackling to be formed in a short time from color image signals by executing an electrophotographic operation in only one time. |
