PURPOSE:To form a uniform coated film on a roller by engraving and providing a minute groove extending from a container to the surface of the roller, along the longitudinal direction, on the surface of an applying member which is fixed to an enclosed type container of a mold releasing agent, and contacts the surface of the fixing roller. CONSTITUTION:A rod-shaped applying member 25 of a metal is fitted and fixed through Si rubber 24 having an L-shaped section, to the upstream side of an opening part of the bottom part of an enclosed type mold releasing agent container 19, and the downstream side of the rod 25 is closed up tightly and fixed to the container 19. The rod 25 contacts the surface of a fixing roller 1, and a V-groove 26 of a circular arc-shaped side face is provided in the peripheral direction, extending over the overall length of the peripheral surface of the rod 25, and a gap 27 is formed between the rod 25 and the Si rubber 24. The gap 27 is formed so that a mold releasing agent in the container does not flow out at a room temperature, and a viscosity of the mold releasing agent drops and flows out, when the fixing roller 1 is at a prescribed temperature, and width W of the groove, its depth D, and its pitch are set to about 10-20mum, 5-10mum, and 5-50mum, respectively. According to this constitution, the mold releasing agent can be applied uniformly, an exclusive driving device is not required, and also, even if the device is inclined, the mold releasing agent does not spill. |
