PURPOSE:To permit to fix fabric to a molded member by the work of a short period of time without using bonding agent by a method wherein the rim of the fabric is turned along the rim of the rear surface of a member to be worked and, subsequently, the rim of the fabric is pressed against the rim of the member to be worked and heated to bond both of them. CONSTITUTION:A fabric 12, cut so as to have an area slightly larger than the area of a surface of a molded member 10 to be covered, is put on the predetermined surface of the molded member 10. Next, a set jig 14, provided with a recess 16 coinciding with the profile of the section of the molded member 10, is prepared and the laminated body of the fabric 12 and the molded member 10 are received so that the fabric 12 is contacted with the inner surface of the recess 16. In this case, the rim 12a of the fabric 12, which is projected from both sides of the molded member 10, is turned to the rear surface of the molded member 10 and the rims 12a, 10a of both articles are laminated. A heating jig 18, provided with a heating means at the rim thereof, is applied on the rim under this state and the rim 12a of the fabric 12 is pressed against the rim 10a of the molded member 10, then, the rim 10a is softened and molten whereby the resin is impregnated into the organization of the fabric 12 and both of them are integrated. |
