PURPOSE:To increase the coefficient of utilization of the space of a page by determining dynamically whether to be divided equally or final record division is to be made based on the state of storage at the time of a page is filled up. CONSTITUTION:In case a candidate page in which record is to be stored is filled up, a record storage controlling means 13 checks whether storage of recent record including the additional record is made in continuous positions in order of keys or stored at ransom in order of keys using a key order storage checking means 16 and it is determined dynamically whether division is to be made using a key order storage time dividing means 18 or division is to be made using a equally dividing means 17 according to the result, and a vacant space is produced.
