PURPOSE:To obtain the element which is observed a display content by an user, even if in case of being not impressed a voltage, and is not observed a boundary of filters, etc., by looking sideways at the titled element, by mounting a colored layer mainly composed of polyvinyl alcohol on a transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION:The transparent conductive coating film composed of indium oxide is formed on a glass substrate so as to form a prescribed pattern. And then, an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol dissolved ammonium dichromate is coated on the substrate by means of a spinner, and the obtd. substrate is covered with the prescribed patterning mask followed by irradiating it with UV ray. The electrode substrate is washed with water to form the film composed of polyvinyl alcohol having the prescribed pattern. The dyestuff for coloring is prepared by dissolving a copper chelate dyestuff to water, followed by dropping hydrochloric acid to it, while stirring. The obtd. solution is stirred over day and night followed by filtering it to recover a precipitate. The precipitate is dissolved to water again, and is adjusted to about 8.0 of pH with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide. |
