PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material capable of maintaining stably high sensitivity for a long period by incorporating a base compd. or its precursor which has a function of a developing auxiliary and is dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous solution contg. a water-holding agent to a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer comprising silver halide, a polymerizable compd., a reducing agent and the base compd. or its precursor which is dissolved or dispersed in the solution contg. the water-holding agent and is enclosed in a microcapsule is mounted on a substrate. The outer shell of the prescribed microcapsule is preferably composed of a heat-melting material such as wax having a m.p. or a softening point of 50-200 deg.C or a plastic material such as a polyurea resin.
