PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a function for amplifying signals output from pixels with a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: A frequency conversion part 101 includes a connection circuit with a plurality of inversion circuits connected in ring so that a delay time between input signal and output signal varies according to the magnitude of the signal output from an imaging part 2, and one or more switch elements connected between an output terminal of the inversion circuit and an input terminal of another inversion circuit which does not adjoin the inversion circuit. It generates a clock signal having a frequency corresponding to the connection circuit. A control part 20 controls opening/closing of the switch element which the frequency conversion part 101 includes. A count part 103 counts clock signals generated by the frequency conversion part.
