PURPOSE:To detect a specified object extending over a wide range, by installing a sub-device which is separated from a main device, detects information from the specified object, and sends out the same information to the main device. CONSTITUTION:On a base 1a of an alarm clock 1, a sensor block 2 and a light emitting block 3 are provided. In the block 2, an infrared sensor 4 is provided, and in the block 3, a lamp 6 for emitting an infrared ray is provided. A sub- device is constituted in this way, it is installed so that it is separated from a main device, and when a man enters within a detecting range of the sub- device, he is detected by the infrared sensor 4, and the lamp 6 is lighted for a prescribed time. The infrared ray from this lamp 6 is detected by the infrared sensor 4 of the main device, and it is known that the man has entered within the detecting range. By providing plural sub-devices, the detecting range can be further extended. |
