PURPOSE:To prevent the titled bushing from being wetted with molten glass and to settle the problem of flooding by covering the glass outlet of the bushing with a nitride. CONSTITUTION:The covering layers 14a, 14b, and 14c of a nitride are formed in 0.5-20mu thickness on the chip 12 and chip plate 11 at the glass outlet of the bushing for producing glass fiber both of which are exposed to the atmosphere. A Pt alloy is preferably used as the base material of the bushing, and TiN or AlN is preferably used as the nitride. |
