PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for bonding work and the like, and to improve reliability and durability by forming a vibrator with a plurality of projecting sections or groove section,s unified with an elastic body and engaging a projecting section for a supporter with the vibrator. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 30 for an oscillatory wave motor is constituted of an elastic body 30a and a piezoelectric body 30b, and the motor has felt 32 and a susceptor 33. The elastic body 30a and the susceptor 33 have projecting sections 33a, 31 mutually arranged at regular intervals (15 deg.) on the whole circumferences at that time, and the projecting sections 33a, 31 are inserted to the inner circumference of the susceptor 33 so as to be mutually engaged while forming clearances. Accordingly, even when the oscillatory wave motor is operated and the elastic body 30a intends to be turned by the reaction of the moving body 30 brought into pressure-contact with the elastic body 30a, the projecting sections 31 for the elastic body 30a are brought into contact with the projecting sections 33a for the susceptor 33 at multipoints on the whole circumferences, thus stopping the revolution of the elastic body 30a. |
