PURPOSE:To obtain easily a polymer having excellent solubility in solvents, thermal stability, dispersibility in magnetic materials and blocking resistance, by radical-polymerizing a specified monomer mixture in the presence of a polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION:97-50%, pref. 90-60% (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) monomer mixture (A) of 60-95%, pref. 70-85% vinyl chloride (a), 40-5%, pref. 30-15% vinylidene chloride and/or vinyl acetate (b) and 0-20%, pref. 0-15% other radical-polymerizable monomer (c) copolymerizable therewith is radical-polymerized in the presence of 3-50%, pref. 10-30% polycarbonate (B) having a number-average MW of 500-5,000 and a radical- generating catalyst at 40-70 deg.C for 7-20hr.
