PURPOSE:To check for an alarm time audibly, by performing a voice signaling of the current time and an alarm time by the operation of a time signaling switch while an alarm is set. CONSTITUTION:When a time signaling switch 9 is closed while an alarm is not set with a setting switch 8 opened, a voice signal is synthesized based on the contents of a time counting circuit 2 and the current time is signaled by voice with an announcement of 'it is such and such hour and minute.' Then, the switch 9 is closed while the alarm is set with the switch 8 closed. At this time, first, the current time is signaled with an audio announcement of 'it is such and such hour and minute' and subsequently, the alarm time is given with an audio announcement of 'the alarm time is such and such hour and minute.' Thus, when a user wants to check the alarm time at midnight, the user can do it audibly, simply by operating the switch 9.
