PURPOSE:A herbicide composition which has extremely high safety to misuse and high herbicidal effects and is extremely simply made into spray in use, obtained by blending a bipyridinium quaternary ammonium salt with a gel- forming organic polymer, a gelatinizing agent, an organic addition auxiliary and a filler. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide composition containing <=10wt%, preferably <=9wt% bipyridinium quaternary ion (e.g., 1,1'-ethylene-2,2'-bipyridinium dibromide, etc.) of herbicide, 0.1-75wt%, preferably 0.5-60wt% gel-forming organic polymer (e.g., polysaccharide, polyvinyl alcohol, etc.), 0-50wt%, preferably 0.1-40wt% gelatinizing agent (e.g., silica, borax, etc.), 0-10wt%, preferably 0.5-8wt% organic addition auxiliary (e.g., emetic, colorant, etc., for avoiding accident such as drinking by mistake, etc.) and 0-60wt%, preferably <=50wt% filler (e.g., anhydrous sodium sulfate, etc.).
