PURPOSE:To make the structure simple and prevent the generation of a high pressure atmosphere and the like owing to water vapor produced in the cooling process, by furnishing a flange on the upper periphery of a metal mold to cover the upper opening of a cradle. CONSTITUTION:On the upper periphery of a metal mold 1, a flange 3 is furnished to cover the upper opening of a cradle 6 under the condition that the lower part of the metal mold 1 is soaked in the cooling water 7 in the cradle 6. Then, a frame 4 holding an electrode plate group is lowered, the cradle 6 with the cooling water 7 is lifted from the lower side of the metal mold, under the condition that the lugs 5 of the same porality electrodes are inserted to the cavities 2 of the metal mold 1, and the lower part of the metal mold 1 is soaked in the cooling water 7. The water spray and the water vapor produced in this case are blocked by the lower part of the flange 3 of the metal mold 1, and discharged through cuttings 8 arranged at the sides of the cradle 6. Therefore, the structure can be made simple, and the bad influence from the water spray, water vapor, or the like can be prevented. |
