PURPOSE:To realize recording imparting high image quality on general-purpose recording paper such as commercial paper of fine quality regardless of paper quality by obtaining a stable ink emitting state, by using weak alkaline aqueous ink as ink in an ink jet recording apparatus having function promoting the drying of recording ink by preheating. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet recording apparatus having function promoting the drying of recording ink by preheating or heating, for example, weak alkaline aqueous ink with pH8-10 is used as ink. Whereupon, a stable ink emitting state is obtained by the weak alkaline ink having high surface tension and the ink droplet adhered to heated recording paper 3 is hardly absorbed by a paper surface because of high surface tension and drying is started on the surface of the paper 3 immediately after recording. The solvent contained in the ink is the min. quantity preventing the clogging of a nozzle, and water and the solvent being the main components of the ink are rapidly evaporated by a heating drying means and the ink is fixed to the surface of the paper without generating exudation or wrinkles. |
