PURPOSE:To permit easy sepn. and concentration and as well as exact and quick analysis by ionizing at least part of an org. material held in a packing material for chromatograph by a chemical ionization method and making mass spectrometry. CONSTITUTION:The org. material in a liquid sample is held in the packing material for chromatograph and is cleaned by a suitable reagent or buffer soln., by which extraneous materials can be easily separated while the objective org. material is kept held. Part of the packing material for chromatograph holding said objective material is, therefore, introduced directly into a sample introducing probe of a mass spectrometer and is ionized by, for example, the chemical ionization method. The qualitative and quantitative analyses of the objective org. material by the mass spectrometry made are thereby exactly and quickly executed.
