PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in a rate of fuel consumption, by installing a control passage being interconnected to an intake side passage, in the more advanced side than an opening part of the intake side passage to be formed in a pump's housing driven by an engine as a supercharger as well as installing a control valve in this control passage according to a state of engine driving. CONSTITUTION:In case of a vane pump 2 being driven by a Diesel engine 1 and provided with an intake side passage 8 and a discharge side passage 12, an opening part 11 of a control passage 9 is formed in the more advanced side (at the rotating direction side of a rotor 3) than an opening part open to a pumping chamber 7 of the intake side passage 8. At the control passage 9, there is provided with a control valve 10 interlocking the operation of an accelerator pedal, while the other end side is connected to the intake side passage 8. And, charging air, which flows inside the pumping chamber 7 to the extent of a spot ranging from the minimum capacity position to maximum capacity position of the pumping chamber 7, is made so as to be brought back to the intake side passage 8 after passing through the control passage 9 till that point that interconnection between the pumping chamber 7 and the control passage 9 is cut off. |
