PURPOSE:To keep the accurate contact of a magnetic head following up as fast as possible, and to improve reliability for a recording and a reproduction, by mounting plural leaves of supporting springs possible to displace the magnetic head in an upward and downward direction. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 41 is mounted with two leaves of supporting springs 61 and 62 at the tip part of a fixed base board 1, and the shapes of the supporting springs 61 and 62 are made, for example, in figures (a)-(c) by working a metal having thin springy quality. As for the mounting related position of the both springs, the magnetic head 41 is mounted in such a way that it can be displaced freely in the upward and downward direction, and two leaves of springs are mounted at the right angle against the upward and downward directional axis of the magnetic head 41, and also, keeping apart from each other so as to prevent twist or fall. If is not always to use the same shape of springs in the same direction as two leaves of supporting springs. In this way, the magnetic head can follow up as fast as possible to the floating of a flexible magnetic disk keeping the accurate contact, and the reliability for the recording and the reproduction can be improved.
