PURPOSE:To provide an air shower device in which an incoming person can pass through a clean room and a minimum amount of time can be elapsed without being polluted by the person by a method wherein a floating dust sensing means for use in sensing a degree of cleanliness in an operating air shower room is arranged at an air shower discharging part of an air shower room. CONSTITUTION:At a discharging port 7 of an air shower room 1 is arranged a sampling tube 11 of a floating dust sensing device 10 for use in detecting a degree of cleanliness of an operating air shower chamber 1 and also monitoring it. This sensing device 10 is provided with a sensing control device 12, for example, an incoming person 13 enters an air shower room 1, and a measuring of the floating dust is started by the sensing device 10 at a time when a floor plate 14 of the air shower 1 acting as a switch for the second blower 5 for a high speed air blowing operation. The value is compared with the set degree of cleanliness at the air shower room 1 at the setting part 16 and the second blower 5 for use in making a high speed blowing is stopped at the time when the first degree of cleanliness of the air shower chamber 1 is more than the set value.
