PURPOSE:To improve the wear and corrosion resistances of a hard sintered alloy consisting of a hard phase contg. composite Mo-Ni boride as the principal component and an Ni-base binding phase by using prescribed percentages of B, Mo and Ni. CONSTITUTION:This hard sintered alloy having high corrosion resistance consists of 3-7.5wt% B, Mo satisfying 0.75-1.25atom ratio of Mo/B and the balance Ni and also consists of 35-95wt% hard phase and the balance Ni-base binding phase. The hard phase contains composite Mo-Ni boride represented by a formula MoxNiyBz (where x=1.5-2.5, y=0.75-1.25 and z=1.5-2.5) as the principal component.
