Device for fixing and orienting a telescopic mast 17 on a motor vehicle, characterised in that it comprises a platform fixed approximately to the centre of the vehicle, provided with means for guiding and locking a longitudinal member 1, connected by articulation 13, 14 to the base of the mast 17, and thus intended to lock the base of the said mast 17 which, moreover, is oriented in a cross-member of the roof 18 where it is held, optionally level, at the intermediate part of its last segment by holding means securely fastened to the roof 18, making it possible to pivot and to rotate the mast 17 on itself. <IMAGE>
