PURPOSE:To obtain a compound useful as a drug from readily obtainable raw materials by a short process and in high yield, by reacting a 2- alloyloxycarbonylcyclopentanone derivative with a transition metal complex of low valence. CONSTITUTION:A novel compound shown by formula I (R<1> is H, 1-10C alkyl, phenyl, et.; R<2> and R<3> are H, tri 1-7C hydrocarbon or R<2> and R<3> together with O of OH form acetal bond; R<4> is H, methyl or vinyl; R<5> is 3-8C alkyl which may contain O, phenyl, etc., in is 0 or 1) is reacted with a transition metal complex [e.g., tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0)] in a solvent such as THF, etc., at 0-100 deg.C to give the aimed substance shown by formula II. The compound shown by formula I is obtained by subjecting an organic copper compound to conjugated addition reaction to a 4-substituted-2-cyclopentenone and reacting the resultant substance with a carbonic acid ester derivative. |
