While a radiographic film is being processed, the device keeps the film firmly attached to the support on which the elements identifying the film are noted. This enables the negative to be identified at once without the risk of a mistake. The device comprises a temporary means of fixing the film, which is either a pointed clip or a slide, and carries at its other end a temporary means of attaching the identification element, namely a clip, a slide, a sleeve, etc. Since the device will be used in a dark room, it will be advantageous to make it symmetrical so that each of the two means of fixing are suitable both for the film and the identifying element. The device is capable of being hung up so that, for example, the film may be dried. The device can be used in processing any negative that needs to be identified without the risk of a mistake.
