PURPOSE:To shorten the length in an input shaft direction of a non-stage transmission, by mounting synchronizing mechanisms at a forwardly running side and a backwardly running side on an input shaft and a counter shaft, respectively and mounting a servo cylinder of a main pulley on a driven gear box on the backwardly running side. CONSTITUTION:A power transmission system from an input shaft 13 to an output shaft 20 is divided at a switching portion 3 into a first power transmission system including a synchronizing mechanism 27 at a forwardly running side and a second power transmission system including a synchronizing mechanism 28 at a backwardly running side. Since only the synchronizing mechanism 27 at the forwardly running side is mounted on the input shaft 13 and the synchronizing mechanism 28 at the backwardly running side is mounted on the side of a counter shaft 23, a length in a shaft direction occupied by the synchronizing mechanism 27 is shortened. Further, a cylinder 38a of a servo mechanism 38 of a main pulley 36 is attached to a boss portion of a gear 22. With such an arrangement, a bearing between the synchronizing mechanism 28 and the pulley 36 is not required.
