PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial patina producing soln. for efficiently producing stable patina on the surface of copper by mixing water with specified amounts of basic copper carbonate, hydrochloric acid, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride and an aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. CONSTITUTION:A mixed aqueous soln. is prepd. by mixing 1,000cc water with 20-60g basic copper carbonate, 60-90cc HCl, 15-50g (NH4)2SO4, 15-50g NH4Cl, and 50-90cc aqueous hydrogen peroxide soln. When the surface of copper is coated with the mixed aqueous soln. by brush coating, spraying or other method, artificial patina having superior adhesive strength can easily be produced without generating poisonous gas.
