PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive signal scanner by using an extremely simple constitution where a coupling hole, a permanent magnet, etc., are provided on a support member for the signal scanner, i.e., an article of consumption. CONSTITUTION:A base part E contains a support member C for signal scanner which has a signal scanner to have a contact with the surface of a rotary recording medium D with the prescribed contact pressure, a movable part VA which is connected to the member C in a removable way, a rotary part RA provided between the part VA and a fixed part SA, and a means which applies the pressure to the member C in order to secure a contact between the signal scanner and the medium D with the prescribed contact pressure in a state where the member C is coupled to the part VA. The member C is made by bending a metallic thin plate in an approximately triangular external form. Then it is desirable to apply a vibration absorbing agent to the back side of the member C to absorb the mechanical vibrations.
