PURPOSE:To exactly move a sensor to a target position by detecting an address code error detected in a signal missing section. CONSTITUTION:When an omission is present in a reproduced signal of a disk 2, a signal from an AND gate 7 includes a noise, and a missing signal pulse 5a is generated from a detection circuit 5 in a noise period, which is inputted to an FF11. In this way, an address section pulse 8a of an H level is latched, and the FF11 outputs a latch signal 11a which represents that the address code is wrong through an OR gate 12. In a signal processing system, the address code error from a register 10 is detected, and the discrimination of the address code at that time is prohibited, and a sensor 1 is moved to the object position without fail.
