PURPOSE:To reduce the search time by deciding a comparison program number for searching corresponding to the size of a compared difference between a reproduction program number and an object program number. CONSTITUTION:The object program number set by a keyboard is stored at registers 102 and 104. The content of the register 102 is compared with the reproduction program number stored at a register 101 in a high speed scanning time at a comparator 107, and when a difference value is small, the contact A of a switch 106 is selected. And the reproduction program number from the register 101 is stored as it is at a register 103 as the comparison program number, and by comparing it with the object program number of a register 104, the searching is performed in a rapid response. On the other hand, when the difference value is large, and apart from the object number, a correct program number having no erroneous read decided by the majority of plural program numbers by one time of scanning, etc., through a multiple check circuit 105 is designated as the object of comparison, thereby the search time can be reduced as a whole.
