Device making it possible to avoid the marks caused by placing a piece of furniture on a rug or on a fitted carpet. This device consists of a wedge 2 mounted on three piles (spikes) 3 passing through the fitted carpet 4 and resting on the floor, the principle being to avoid, with the aid of the piles (spikes) any bearing contact between the fitted carpet 4 and the wedge 2. This device can also be used on soft ground by positioning a metal disc under the fitted carpet 4 with the aid of an electromagnetic trolley. <IMAGE>
