In a box-like container (1) having a receiving part (3) and a lid (2) for storing hand-held electric tools, other tools, screws, dowels or the like, in which the receiving part (3) and the lid (2) can be connected to one another in a positive-locking manner, it is proposed for the space-saving storage together with good accessibility to the contents to provide the lid (2) with parallel longitudinal grooves (5) with at least one undercut (13, 13') and to provide one side wall (6) of the receiving part (3) with projections (7) which are adapted to the longitudinal grooves (5) and allow hooking-in and unhooking via a tilting and/or lifting movement. Furthermore, a support surface (15, 15') is provided on the receiving part (3), which support surface interacts with a counter surface (16, 16') of the lid (2), a lowering movement being bounded by the two surfaces (15, 16; 15', 16') resting against one another. <IMAGE>
