PURPOSE:To certainly hold a thermostatic state, by simple constitution such that a thermostatic block comprising an electric insulating material having good heat conductivity engaging with a metal rod. CONSTITUTION:An ion selective electrode A is constituted by providing four metal rods 2 each having a responsive film 4 provided to the leading end thereof to a substrate 4, for example, so as to react with different ion seeds and a specimen is supplied to a specimen flow passage through tubes 6, 7. A thermostatic block 10 comprises an electric insulating material having good heat conductivity, for example, ceramic and connectors 11 respectively engaging with the metal rods 2 of the electrode A are provided to said block 10 and directly connected to the metal rods 2 to be capable of taking out output potential from the metal rods 2. A heater 13 is embedded in the thermostatic block 10 and held to a constant temp. by a heating apparatus. As mentioned above, because the metal rods 2 are directly held to constant temp. by the thermostatic block 10, the conduction of heat to the responsive film 1 is improved and the enhancement of the thermostatic property of the electrode part can be attained. |
