PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently cool granular material by a method wherein the granular material is cooled by two steps or more by being past through a plurality of carrier liquid cooling parts, between which a cooling liquid contacting part is provided, in the cooling device of the granular material. CONSTITUTION:The cooling liquid passing through a granulating part 1 comes in contact with the cooling liquid of a second carrier liquid cooling part 4 at a cooling liquid contacting part 3 and some parts of both the cooling liquids mix with each other. Granular material is separated from the first cooling liquid is transferred together with the second cooling liquid to the second carrier liquid cooling part. The first cooling liquid, from which the granular material is separated, is circulated by means of a pump 5 so as to be supplied again to the granulating part 1. At that time, a filter 6 may be provided for the removal of foreign matters in the cooling liquid, the protection of the pump and the like. Or a heat exchanger may be provided for further cooling, when the temperature of the first cooling liquid does not fall enough by mixing with the second cooling liquid. The granular material is transferred together with the second cooling liquid to the second carrier liquid cooling part 4 so as to complete its cooling in order to be separated from the second cooling liquid at a granular material separating part 7. |
