PURPOSE:To develop an alloy member excellent in shape-forming power and fastening power as a shape-forming wire for shape retention of clothing, by subjecting a wire rod of a Ti-Ni alloy having shape memory effects and superelasticity to bending and to aging treatments under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The wire rod of Ti-Ni shape-memory superelastic alloy con taining 50.3-52.0atom% Ni is compressed to be formed into flat sectional form and is then subjected to bending so that the compressed surface forms an angle of 45-90 deg. with the bending-moment central axis of bending. The resulting member is subjected to constrained aging treatment at 300-600 deg.C while being held in the bent state, so that a fastening member having strengthened fastening power as well as shape-forming member having strengthened shape-forming power can be obtained. |
