PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of accommodating for articles, by providing a loading plate whose trailing end is coupled to an endless chain, and a support member for supporting the leading end of the loading plate, between racks in an article accommodating storage and a conveyer. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of racks 2 in several stages are incorporated in an accommodating storage 1 which may be elevated by an elevating means. A conveyer 4 is laid in parallel with the storage 1 on the opening 3 side of the latter, and conveys thereon articles which are divided into groups each having plural articles. Further, a shifting device 5 having a plurality of introduction mechanism 5' (5A-5D) on which articles are reserved and are shifted onto the racks 2, is laid between the storage 1 and the conveyer 4. Each introduction mechanism 5' is provided therein with a loading plate 20 which is connected at its right end to an endless chain 29 adapted to be rotated by a drive mechanism 25, and a support member 32 connected to the chain 29 and supports the lower section of the rack side of the loading plate 20. Further, there is provided a regulating member 50 for regulating the retraction of the articles on the loading plate 20 toward the conveyer 4 when the articles are shifted onto the racks 2.
