PURPOSE:To improve the safety and reliability of an atomic turbine by shielding the surface of the base of a moving blade for a turbine with a stainless steel contg. specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo and W so as to improve the erosion resistance. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the base of a moving blade for a turbine is shielded with a work hardening stainless steel consisting of 0.07-0.2% C, <=2% Si, 8-12% Mn, 1-5% Ni, 10-20% Cr, <=1% Mo, <=3% W and the balance Fe to obtain a low pressure moving blade for a turbine. By the shielding with the stainless steel, the elution of highly radioactive Co is inhibited.
