In the case of an injection nozzle with tangential incident flow on the nozzle interior for liquids mixed with solid fractions, there is provided a metallic housing which is provided with the inlet opening and has a cavity which runs perpendicularly with respect to the axis of the inlet opening and into which the inlet opening opens, a nozzle insert open towards the inlet opening being fastened in the cavity as a separate component. The design according to the invention makes it possible to use for the nozzle insert ceramic materials, which after production need no longer to be machined, so that the service life of the nozzle can be increased considerably.
