Flow element as prefabricated structural part for coastal protection

The invention disclosed comprises a flow element as prefabricated structural part for island and coastal protection. The hitherto known methods, devices and techniques could not prevent or could only inadequately prevent shifting or destruction of islands or stretches of coast, since these methods are based on calming of the water in order to prevent destruction. In contrast, the present invention uses a structural part which utilises the water flow as a means of transporting sediment and sand. Not only is coastal destruction thereby prevented, but additional silting-up on the weather side of the coast can even be achieved, which hitherto was not possible.
