PURPOSE:To obtain controlling magnetization characteristic as good as or better than those of a Co-based amorphous magnetic core by applying a magnetic field and by heat-treating a specific amorphous material after keeping it for a definite time in a range of temperature above its Curie temperature and below its crystallization temperature. CONSTITUTION:In an amorphous material shown by a composition formula: (Fe1-aMa)100-x-y-z CuxSiyBz, Cu is an essential element and if the content (x) is limited to 0.1-3atom% and the range of y+z is 18-26atom%, the controlled magnetizing characteristics are good. An added component M which substitutes part of Fe is such as Ti and the quantity (a) is limited to 0.001-0.1. After the amorphous material is kept for a definite time in a range of temperature above its Curie temperature and below its crystallization temperature, a direct current or an alternating current magnetic field of 0.5 Oe or more is applied in the direction of the magnetic pass of a magnetic core and heat-treatment is conducted at its Curie temperature or below. |
