A description is given of a summerhouse which comprises a bar framework which exhibits a multiplicity of supporting bars, spaced apart laterally from one another, and is intended to bear a covering in the top region of a dome portion. In the vicinity of the ground and at least in one further horizontal plane, the supporting bars are held together at predetermined intervals by bars running in the lines of a polygon. Consequently, the bar framework structure becomes self-supporting and it achieves increased rigidity in that loading on one supporting bar can then be absorbed by the entire bar structure.
