The invention relates to a rotary tube furnace with a number of planetary cooling pipes, the inlet pipe pieces of which are in each case connected to the furnace interior via an inlet sleeve arranged in a furnace outlet opening. These inlet sleeves have at their end facing the furnace interior exchangeable wear rings made of individual segments. This design allows a simple construction as well as rapid exchange of worn sleeve parts.
