PURPOSE:To make it possible to sharply type a small dot, by forming a microporous synthetic resin film to the single surface of a synthetic resin film being a base by specific operation. CONSTITUTION:A solution of a resin for a porous film (a solid is usually 10-50wt%) is usually applied to the single surface of a synthetic resin film supplied continuously in an amount of 50-400g/m<2>. The film coated with the resin solution for the porous film is immersed in water at ambient temp. or at 0-70 deg.C for 2-20min. Herein, a water-soluble org. solvent (and a part of a plasticizer used if necessary and an inorg. salt such as calcium chloride) is extracted by water to form a large number of microporous and the treated film is dried according to a usual method. A desired porous film is formed on the single surface of the film usually in a thickness of 0.03-0.3mm. Then, predetermined ink is absorbed by the porous film. The resin for the porous film is dissolved in the water-soluble org. solvent or a system containing the same but insoluble or hardly soluble in water used in extraction treatment.
