PURPOSE:The vapor of tin oxide is generated from a melt mix of copper, as a solvent and tin oxide, as a solute, and introduced into a low-temperature part for solidification, thus producing a large amount of tin oxide fibers of a uniform diameter. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of tin oxide (solute) and copper (solvent) at a weight ratio of about 20/80-2/98 is taken in a crucible and melted in an inert gas atmosphere with heat. Then, the vapor of tin oxide formed is introduced into a low-temperature part where tin oxide fibers precipitate. As a solvent, may be used an alloy of copper with another metal which lowers the melting point of copper such as Cu-Sn alloy. |
