PURPOSE:To obtain a netted body whose density is smoothly changed without move in a zigzag direction by setting a drawing roller in which rolling ratios in a part having the larger amount of lead or lead alloy in a netted body forming a grid for lead-acid battery and in a part having its smaller amount are varied. CONSTITUTION:In a drawing roller 1 applying to an expanded belt having a non-expanded part in its center in a netted body and having high mean-density part near the center and low density part in its both outsides in several stages, the rolling ratio is gradually and continuously increased so that the rolling ratio in the non-extended zone A is 1.1 based on the thickness of the sheet, and those in zones B, C, and D are 1.5, 1.8, 2.2 respectively. Circular arc, straight, or step by step change in the rolling ratio has no large difference. By using this drawing roller, move in a zigzag direction or wave in the netted body is decreased, productivity is increased, and the deformation of a grid is also decreased. |
