发明名称 AZIMUTH ADJUSTMENT CIRCUIT
摘要 PURPOSE:To always reproduce a signal at an optimum azimuth angle independently of the kind of tapes by detecting a synchronizing pattern signal of optional two tracks on a magnetic tape and adjusting the azimuth angle so as to make the phase difference zero. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and the 10th tracks or the like of a magnetic tape recorded by a fixed head type PCM multi-track recorder are reproduced by heads 11-1, 11-10 corresponding to a reproducing head 11 fitted to a head supporter 12. A prescribed group synchronizing pattern recorded on the 1st and the 10th tracks is detected from the reproducing signal by synchronizing pattern detection circuits 15, 16 respectively and phases of both the patterns are compared by a phase comparator 7. The azimuth angle error is calculated by the ratio of the result of comparison to the distance between the 1st and 10th tracks and an azimuth angle adjusting signal making the result of comparison of the phase difference zero is fed by a head control device 18 to the device 12. Thus, excellent reproduction with optimum azimuth angle is always obtained independently of the kind of tapes.
