The present invention relates to a machine comprising a device 2 which produces a circular tube and is provided with a cylindrically shaped fixed spindle 4, and a forming device 3 for giving this tube a polygonal cross section whose sides are perfectly flat. The forming device 3 comprises a revolving spindle 7 mounted on a shaft 13 fixed to the fixed spindle, and a revolving head 8 which supports pressure rollers 27 that have a convex profile. The revolving spindle 7 is formed by a block having longitudinal ridges 18, 21 which form the internal angles of the tube and are separated by transversely concave faces. The machine makes it possible in particular to manufacture square or rectangular tubes. It is easily detachable for the manufacture of cylindrical tubes. <IMAGE>
