There is disclosed a nitric oxide delivery system comprising an inlet to connect to a source of pharmaceutical gas comprising nitric oxide; an outlet to connect to a device that introduces the pharmaceutical gas to a patient; a low flow control valve in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet, wherein the low flow control valve delivers the pharmaceutical gas at a first flow rate; a high flow control valve in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet and in parallel to the low flow control valve, wherein the high flow control valve delivers the pharmaceutical gas at a second flow rate that is higher than the first flow rate; and a gas control system that delivers a dose of the pharmaceutical gas into a patient's inspiratory gas flow through one or more of the low flow control valve and the high flow control valve. |
