PURPOSE:To carry out MIKES measurement for plural parent ions in short time, by detecting the ions of designated masses in order, and simultaneously carrying out the MIKES measurement for the ions. CONSTITUTION:The ions of plural masses are designated, voltage in the time of ordinary mass spectrometry is applied to an electric field E for energy spectrometry, and magnetic field intensity is varied in a constant direction from weak to strong or from strong to weak. And when the peak of a designated mass is detected, the variation of a magnetic field B is stopped for a moment, and the applied voltage to the electric field E for energy spectrometry is swept, so that MIKES measurement for the parent ions of the mass is carried out. After that, the electric field voltage is restored so as to carry out the same action, and the ion detection of a next designated mass is carried out so as to execute the MIKES measurement. Then, the same actions are carried out for the designated masses in order. |
