For intensification and completion in the preparation of extracts of active substances from medicinal plants, the invention proposes the use of a solvent in the form of an essential oil, preferably of an essential oil which is from the plant to be extracted and which as integral constituent of the extract of active substance is left therein. This intensifies the extraction of essential oils from the medicinal plant and permits additional extraction of all lipophilic substances. The extract prepared by using the process according to the invention is enriched in concomitant, valuable and, in particular, active substances and is therefore particularly suitable for therapeutic use. |
